The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of the Republic of Moldova, through its Entrepreneurship Development Policy Directorate, together with the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, through the National Institute for Economic Research, is organizing the Moldova Entrepreneurship & SME Policy Conference 2026.

The Conference is designed as a platform for dialogue between policymakers, public authorities, researchers, experts, the business community and development partners, bringing research findings and analytical evidence closer to the public policymaking process.

The 2026 edition focuses on the role of the services sector in strengthening the competitiveness of Moldova’s economy, with particular attention to SME development, productivity, innovation, digital transformation, access to finance, human capital, internationalization and integration into the EU Single Market. This event is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH within the project “Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises in the Eastern Partnership Countries (DT4SME)”.

Evidence-Informed Policymaking: Competitiveness and European Integration

Research findings and analytical evidence relevant to the development of the services sector, SME competitiveness, policy design and Moldova’s integration into the EU Single Market.
